Island Road Terraces Cajun Coral - Summer
This resource provides monitoring data on a feature called Cajun Coral, which is deployed as a living shoreline module that may be colonized by oysters and other sessile organisms. The modules were placed on the banks of earthen terraces to act as shoreline protection. This site was located at Ducks Unlimited Island Road Terracing project in Lafourche Parish, LA. The Cajun Coral structures were submerged so far below the water surface, monitors were unable to evaluate them for presence of live organisms.
