Grant 83678 (Healthy Climate Communities)

Restore 5 acres with 2,000 native Hawaiian trees on the Puu o Ehu watershed to decrease risks to surrounding infrastructure from wildfire and flooding, as well as enhance wildlife habitat for endemic endangered birds. Project will teach volunteers from local schools and community groups about all phases of forest restoration, and the importance of trees, forests, and watersheds in climate resilience.
