Grant 84519 (State of Hawaii, Department of Land and Natural Resources)

Protect and restore native vegetation through fencing, animal removal, and firebreak improvements to benefit vulnerable communities and coral reefs. Project will protect over 5,000 acres native forest and reduce sedimentation of coral reefs by improving infiltration rates to reduce erosion and flooding through proven forest protection strategies that will safeguard the natural infrastructure that protects south Molokai.
